Finished!

Hmmm...a fairly cryptic title. I was meaning that we've finally got the baby room done, but now I'm thinking about it it could refer to my mental state as well!

First things first, here are some pictures of the completed room:
Ryan wanted to go with a train theme because he had this train set of his grandfather's (I believe it dates to the early 1900's) and all that they had out there were Thomas the Train themes - ugh. So...I created my own.I downloaded pictures of engines and such off the Internet, printed them out and hung them on the walls - pretty simple and much classier than a cartoon train :) I still have one photo to print and hang:This one's of my great-granddad who was in fact a train engineer in the early 1900's!

I know that inevitably Thomas will end up creeping into the room but I figured I'd start out with something more original.

As for the other type of finished, well as you can see from the packed bag on the dresser, I am ready to have this baby now - although I am holding out for Monday as I have a super busy weekend planned (3 parties and a trade show to do). I'm 37.5 weeks now so really it could happen anytime. Of course Murphy's law states that he will then come Friday night just to mess with things but what can you do? Although I have enjoyed being pregnant, I'm ready to have my body back - and to meet the little guy. It will be enjoyable not only to hold him, but to not have a foot wedged under my rib cage 80% of the time! I do think he will be early...I've started to feel some 'contractions' but not regular or strong - just my body getting reading for the big event.

Well, I should go and get the first child up soon - we're going to the zoo today to see the new visiting koalas! I don't know who's more excited, Payton or me!
